adkoa is a mutation in the gene pool, conjoining with brands to win out against their rivals
by best adapting them to succeed to their environment.
1. in ideas
new and brilliant ones, suited for any environment, developed for multiple platforms, grounded by a
deep understanding of traditional, digital, and a true appreciation for the value of a powerful brand.
2. smaller is better
that big agencies are on the endangered species list, and that digital is the new normal. But we also know to evolve beyond the boundaries of media in order to reach the hearts of the audiences that view them.
3. in different minds
we align the personalities
and strengths of our teams
to fit each client perfectly. It's never the case that one
mind, style, or strength fits all.
4. in great creative work
that leads to results, and that niche marketing is the way to live in the future.

Executive Creative Director
It may have been that last squandered internship where ruling pens, t-squares and stat machines gave way for Ben Cruz to quickly join the first generation of truly integrated digital-based creatives on Madison Avenue. By way of San Francisco’s Winterland Productions where he worked on concert promotional merchandise for New Kids on the Block, MC Hammer, The Grateful Dead, Greenpeace, and Levis,
Ben moved back to the right coast as owner and operator of Edge, a full service graphic design firm where creative consulting, art direction, and graphic design filled much of his time as he felt the only remorse of leaving SF; namely coasting on Highway 1. Working with Nike NYC, Price Waterhouse, CBS/48 hrs, Sony Music, and Children Television Workshop helped eased the pangs of loss.
Over the last decade Ben worked high and low on Mercedes Benz, Weight Watchers, Woodpecker Cider, and USTA. Before distinguishing himself at some of Madison Avenue’s leading creative shops and accounts (Young & Rubicam; 7up, Computer Associates, and Jaguar), he joined the first dot.com boom by branding the identities of others: about.com, cars.com, thestreet.com, messagemedia.com, and hotspots.com.
Cultivating his own identity through work at JWT with Smirnoff; TBWA/Chiat Day with Sprint/Nextel, he continued to develop his own approach to work. He developed the World Cup Mastercard site, launched the Kanye West Foundation and G.O.O.D. companies and shaped the brand redesign for A&E Networks.
Ben lived 3 years as the Chief Creative Officer of Fly launching the Kindle, Amazon Groceries, Endless, The French Culinary Institute and leading integrated marketing campaigns for Pernod Ricard / Accept Responsibility corporate responsibility campaign, and several of its brands; Stoli, Beefeater, Jameson, Seagram’s, etc.
Ben specializes in true 360º campaign work that both enhance your brand’s Identity and growth equity while achieving specific, quantifiable results.
In 2011, Ben decided to create his own place where he could build a home for his own; “A Different Kind of Animal”
